My film didn't have subtitles (SRT file) when it was published on Reveel, will this affect how much I earn in the future?

Subtitles are not currently connected to how much you earn on Reveel for films already published on the platform. This means your previous films without subtitles should continue to be monetized as usual.

However, there's a change for new film submissions: Including subtitles (SRT files) is now mandatory for approval on Reveel. This ensures accessibility for a wider audience and potentially improves viewership for your films.

Here's a breakdown:

  • Published films without subtitles: These films are okay for now and will continue to be monetized.

  • New film submissions: Subtitles are required for approval.

Here are some options to consider:

  • Published films without subtitles: You can still benefit from adding subtitles in the future to reach a wider audience and increase your earning potential (link to resources if available).

  • New film submissions: Ensure you include subtitles for approval.

We recommend contacting our Filmmaker Support team via the Contact Us link in the portal if you have any further questions about subtitles or the approval process.
