Yes, Reveel supports 4K streaming, but it works a little differently than a simple on/off switch. We allow you to upload videos in up to 4K resolution. When you or someone else watches the video, our system uses dynamic resolution. This means the video player intelligently adjusts the streaming quality based on three key factors:
- Upload Quality: If you uploaded a 4K video, the player can stream in 4K. However, if you uploaded a lower resolution video, the maximum streaming quality will be limited to that resolution.
- User Device: The device used for viewing (like a phone, tablet, or computer) must be capable of displaying 4K resolution.
- User Internet Speed: A fast and stable internet connection is required to stream in 4K. If the connection is slow or unstable, the player will automatically lower the resolution to ensure smooth playback without buffering.
In short, if you upload a 4K video, and the viewer has a 4K-capable device and a good internet connection, they will experience 4K streaming. If any of these conditions aren't met, the player will automatically select the best possible resolution for optimal viewing. This ensures a smooth and enjoyable viewing experience for everyone, regardless of their setup.
