Why should costumes and props be thought through effectively?

Modified on Tue, 25 Jun at 3:58 AM

Great question!  Costumes and props are like tiny details that can make a big difference in your film.

When they're well-chosen and well-used, they add depth to your story and help viewers feel immersed in your world.  Imagine a historical drama with characters in modern clothes - it would take viewers right out of the story!

On the other hand, costumes and props that don't quite fit can be distracting and take away from the overall quality of your film.

The key is to think about how each costume and prop helps tell your story. Are they believable for the time period and setting? Do they reveal something about your characters?  By taking the time to get these details right, you'll be creating a more polished and engaging film for viewers.
